During the first consultation with a practitioner, s/he will discuss our treatment expectations and will perform a detailed examination to identify which areas need to be treated. After this, s/he will recommend an HA dermal filler that is most suitable for you.
After the consultation, and if we are happy to continue, the practitioner will help us complete a medical history form and we will need to sign a consent form before treatment can begin.
During the injection, the practitioner will inject small amounts of an HA filler into our skin using usually a very fine needle. The injection session is quick, typically lasting between 15-30 minutes, depending on the areas treated. To help minimise any discomfort, HA fillers may also contain a pain killer.27,79,97
